Sharing Internet dengan Wifi Laptop

Punya akses internet dari modem yang tertancap di laptop tapi bingung bagaimana cara sharingnya supaya smartphone juga bisa akses internet? Ternyata ada cara yang gampang, dan gratis yang bisa dipakai untuk sharing internet lewat wifi dari koneksi internet laptop. Tanpa perlu install software khusus, hanya tinggal mengaktifkan saja wifinya menjadi hotspot, maka internet pun bisa dibagi ke smartphone atau laptop lain.

Caranya mudah sekali, tapi pertama-tama, tidak semua wifi laptop support, terlebih laptop yang sudah berusia lama alias jadul. Untuk mengetahui apakah wifi laptop tersebut bisa atau tidak, silakan buka command prompt melalui akun administrator Windows, dan ketikkan:

netsh wlan show drivers

Bila dibagian "Hosted Netword Supported : Yes" maka wifi laptop bisa dijadikan hotspot.

Nah, cara untuk mengaktifkan wifi sebagai hotspot, silakan ikuti langkah-langkah berikut.

Pertama, ketikkan perintah di command prompt lagi:

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid="Nama WiFi" key=Password WiFi

Silakan ganti Nama WiFi menjadi apa saja dan key password nya usahakan lebih dari 8 karakter.

Kedua, jalankan hotspotnya dengan cara (masih di command  prompt) ketik:

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Dengan cara ini, maka hotspot sudah bisa digunakan, sekarang tinggal setting sharing koneksi internetnya saja dengan cara:

  1. Buka : Control PanelNetwork and InternetNetwork Connections
  2. Pilih dimana koneksi internet yang akan dibagi, misal disini: ZTE Wireless Terminal > Klik Kanan > Properties
  3. Pilih Tab: Sharing, Centang: Allow other network
  4. Pada bagian Home Networking connection, pilih: Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter nama profile bisa saja: "Wireless Network Connection 2" atau yg lain yg penting adapternya = "Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter" > bisa dilihat diproperti koneksi.
  5. OK. Kita telah selesai mensetup koneksi dari modem ZTE agar dapat dibagi bersama.

Untuk mencobanya, jika saat membuat hotspot dari wifi laptop ini koneksi modem masih on, maka disconnect dulu, lalu sabungkan lagi. Coba dulu akses internet lewat laptop, jika bisa, saatnya mencoba di smartphone atau device lain.
